Master's Degree Program
The nurse administrator master's program prepares graduates to utilize concepts and theories from nursing management and health administration and to assume leadership positions in health care agencies. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing, we offer an RN to Grad program.
The nurse educator master's program prepares graduates to utilize theories of teaching and learning in a variety of settings with emphasis on nursing education. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing, we offer an RN to Grad program.
Postgraduate Certificate Program
Doctor of Nursing Practice Program
The DNP prepares advanced practice registered nurses to transform clinical practice as expert clinicians and leaders. We offer the following specializations: family nurse practitioner, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner or clinical nurse leader. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing who wish to earn their CNL, we offer the RN to Grad program.
Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Program
The Bachelor's to Ph.D. is a 90-credit track for applicants with a bachelor's degree to get their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in nursing. The program prepares scientists to assume roles as health care researchers, faculty and health care administrators with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention in underserved and rural populations. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing, we offer an RN to Grad program.
The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program and postgraduate advanced practice registered nurse certificate program at South Dakota State University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
