Performing Arts Scholarships
Scholarships are available to any student at SDSU wishing to participate in the university's theatre and dance program. Each year the program awards over $55,000 in scholarships to incoming and returning students. These scholarships are available to students interested in dance, performance and design/technology.
2026 Important Dates
Feb. 21, 2026: In-Person Auditions
March 2, 2026: Online Auditions Due
Any student at SDSU may apply for a scholarship for participation in SDSU’s music program. In 2023, over $220,000 in talent-based awards were accepted by entering freshmen and returning students. These scholarships are available to both instrumentalists and vocalists.

The purpose of the event is to honor the best high school senior musicians in the state by providing them a solo performance on the SDSU campus. If selected, the performance will also serve as the official audition for a talent-based music scholarship. This event offers a longer, more intimate setting for them to perform and interact with faculty.
