Association of Retired Faculty
The Association of Retired Faculty of South Dakota State University
Purpose
The purpose is to bring together colleagues who have a common bond of service in the teaching, research, extension and student support responsibilities of South Dakota State University. It is intended for the mutual benefit of its members and the university. In general, the objectives of the association include the encouragement of continuing participation in university activities, service to the university and expression of common concerns and continued interests.

Coffee and Conversation
The retired faculty association has Coffee and Conversation at the First Lutheran Church, Mission Coffeehouse, from 10-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month except holidays. Everyone is welcome.
Activities
The Association of Retired Faculty provides a variety of presentations, discussions, activities and social events. These reflect the members' interests and often focus on SDSU, education and contemporary issues.
Everyone on the email address list will receive information about these events.
Meetings
The association typically holds a luncheon meeting twice annually, once in the fall and once in the spring. Meetings generally last one and a half hours and include a social time, program and business meeting.
Membership
The term “faculty” in the bylaws is intended to include all professional personnel who retire from South Dakota State University. Membership is automatically open to these retirees.
