Dr. Taylor is an Assistant Professor of Archaeology at the University of Colorado Boulder. His research explores the relationship between humans and animals, with a particular focus on horses and the processes of animal domestication. His work emphasizes archaeozoology, glacial archaeology, archaeological science, and the use of emerging technologies. He has ongoing field projects in the Great Plains and the American Southwest as well as Mongolia and the Steppes of Central Asia. He also conducts museum collections research in China, Australia, and South America.
