If there is a diagnostic evaluation charge associated with the case, the first five tissues for aerobic culture are included in this fee. If there is no diagnostic evaluation charge associated with the case, see aerobic culture – 3 samples without diagnostic evaluation charge for pricing. There will be an additional $8 fee per sample over the base aerobic culture fee. Samples may not be pooled for aerobic culture. Antimicrobial susceptibility testing will automatically be performed on eligible significant pathogens unless otherwise indicated on the submission form. See antimicrobial susceptibility for more information. If antimicrobial susceptibility is not wanted by the client, please specify on the submission form. A representative isolate of each reported organism will be save for approximately one month. Viability is not guaranteed.
