The Child and Family Resource Network (CFRN), established in 1990 as an outreach office at South Dakota State University, has evolved into a state and locally supported early childhood enrichment program.

The 2022 spring semester launched new opportunities for student success at SDSU with the opening of the Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center. The center is the hub for everything related to student success at SDSU and embraces the university’s land-grant mission of supporting educational access for all students.

The Wintrode Student Success and Opportunity Center, established in 2007, has made significant strides in its 16 years of operation, increasing its services to students by over 400%.
