Child and Family Resource Network to host ‘Common-Sense Parenting’ classes in September, October
The Child and Family Resource Network at South Dakota State University is hosting its next “Common-Sense Parenting†class series starting Sept. 4.
Innovative technology for range management will be the focus of the upcoming Cottonwood Field Station Field Day. All are invited to hear about the latest South Dakota State University research on the topic on Friday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m.-noon at 23738 Fairview Road, Philip.
Three women in wide-ranging leadership positions and three men with extensive legal careers comprise the six graduates who have risen to the top of their fields and have been selected for the 2025 Class of Distinguished Alumni by the South Dakota State University Alumni Association.
They are:

The South Dakota Art Museum is celebrating the people and collections that made the museum possible with a summerlong exhibit and a reception planned for early August.
Next week, the South Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences will host three field days in eastern South Dakota. Each one will feature SDSU researchers sharing their expertise on a variety of topics applicable to local farmers and community members.

There will be something for everyone at the South Dakota State University Southeast Research Farm Field Day, Tuesday, July 8, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at 29974 University Road, Beresford. Attendees will be able to choose from multiple farm tours, hear relevant research presentations, and the day will end with a Family Evening put on by SDSU Extension.
