Biography
Matilyn “Matty†Kerr is serving as a temporary instructor for the entrepreneurial studies program within the Ness School of Management and Economics.
Kerr received her B.S. in entrepreneurial studies (2016) from South Dakota State and MBA through Dakota Wesleyan University (2021). Kerr works currently for Brookings Economic Development Corporation as a business development specialist and serves as a part-time business consultant with the South Dakota Small Business Development Center. In this role, she assists new and existing businesses grow and expand via project assistance and resource connection. Within the South Dakota Small Business Development Center system, she aids businesses via direct coaching and assisting with financial projection development and forecasting.
Kerr previously worked on campus within the Office of Student Activities, serving as the program adviser for University Traditions for over five years. Kerr has additionally worked at the SDSU Foundation as an human resources generalist.
