Biography
Ellen Koester is a digital content editor with University Marketing and Communications at South Dakota State University. She reviews and edits web content on sdstate.edu, as well as writes and creates content for the university.
Koester graduated from Drake University in Des Moines in 2019 and completed several internships, including one as an editorial intern in the university's marketing department.
She worked as a web copywriter at Sanford Health from 2019 to 2022 before leaving to become a producer of the daily news and culture radio show "In the Moment" at South Dakota Public Broadcasting. There, she produced several segments that featured SDSU faculty and staff.
She joined South Dakota State University in November 2025.
